Visual & UX Designer — Educational Technology Leadership
Welcome! I'm Maggie Nguyen, an art-technology designer focused on educational experiences, with a Master's in Educational Technology Leadership and a second Master's in Information Science & Technology at Temple University (expected Fall 2025). Grounded in the fundamentals of UX/UI, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and Human-AI Interaction (HAII), I design educational tools, animations, and web experiences that turn complex ideas into intuitive, visual learning.
Through my graduate work in Information Science & Technology, I've built a foundation in data structures, object-oriented programming, and algorithms, and developed strong skills in UX, UI, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and Human-AI Interaction (HAII). I explore the intersection of art, technology, and education to create educational animations, websites, and course materials that turn complex concepts into engaging, accessible learning experiences. Guided by HCI, UX, UI, and HAII principles, I design for clarity, usability, and inclusion so that learners across backgrounds can engage with confidence.
My work bridges art, technology, and education—from algorithm visualizations to learner-centered websites—always with the goal of improving comprehension, confidence, and inclusivity.
What I Do
Educational Animation & Visualization: Turn abstract algorithms into step-by-step, story-driven visuals.
UX/UI for Learning: Design interfaces that are intuitive, accessible, and evidence-informed.
Instructional Design: Build clear learning flows, activities, and assessments that support diverse learners.
Web Design & Development: Create responsive, maintainable sites for interactive learning content.
Current Focus
Building AI-enhanced visualizations for algorithms (e.g., B-trees, Dijkstra's) to support inquiry and feedback.
Applying HCI/HAII principles to craft interfaces that feel human-centered and trustworthy.
Prototyping interactive learning platforms that simplify complex topics through animation and explanation.
Selected Strengths
UX/UI fundamentals • HCI & HAII
Data structures, OOP, and algorithm literacy
Visual storytelling and motion design for education
Accessibility-minded design (clarity, contrast, captions)
Collaborative workflow with educators and developers
